I have a lot to say because our computer was being worked on for over a month and we couldn't even get near it because we could accidently step on the parts. I get tired writing long entries but I'll try my best.

Our roosters ruffle their feathers, flap their wings, peck under their wings, and then crow. No kidding. If you think roosters only crow when the sun comes up, think again. Our roosters crow... all. day. long.

We made a little cave of a bunker near the fort on the other side of the dam. On one side of the dam is the pond and on the other side it is very steep and goes far down 15 ft deep or more. At the bottom, in the ditch, we propped up logs on each side of the ditch to make a cave. You must be very careful because our support beams broke. It was too much weight. It's not too bad because our logs are long enough to reach each side of the ditch so it is still about 5ft tall. The support beams made it even taller, but we didn't really need it taller than 5ft. That's where we go if the enemy is sieging the fort. We camouflaged it.

We took our very nice steel and wooden guns (not the real ones) to play at the fort and Richard left his frontier pistol out there. As soon as the sun came up, Mom had Spencer and James go look for it because it was supposed to rain. They found it in the bunker which is where I looked.

Some of the sheep and goats are pregnant and you can tell. I don't want to sell our spring lambs and kids this year. They are so much fun! We should make enough money by selling soap and cheese and eggs and wool blankets and llama bean tea and stuff so we don't have to sell our babies. The babies love me. They don't bite, and they smell good.

Everybody should fall in love with spring babies. They are so cute and playful and if any of the mommies don't have enough milk for them, we get to bottle feed them. That's a chore you can hope for.

Hopefully our computer is fixed. Will and Zack did everything you can do so if it still has a problem then it is the mother board and we'd have to get a new computer. Will hasn't installed our picture thing so I can't yet put up any more of the pictures I wanted to.

The day before yesterday while Mom was reading aloud, James and Spencer saw a huge bird swoosh past our big window that faces the pond. It wasn't our blue heron so they ran out to see what it was. We looked across the pond and we saw these gigantic birds on the dam. Spence and James got on the path behind the cattails and snuck up to see. It was very large turkey vultures pecking and eating a large carp or catfish. We hope it wasn't Hunley who is the albino catfish that lives in our pond. They said they couldn't tell, and none of us really want to know if it was him. We will soon know because you can see him coming when his food is thrown out there because he is white and you can't miss him.

While the computer was down, it snowed a little bit. It was enough to put on snow pants and throw snow balls, but not enough for a snow fort or sledding. At first it was the biggest flakes we've ever seen but later in the day it turned slushy because of the rain but we played in it until it was all gone and then we came in for hot chocolate and marshmallows.

We went on the boat to "Davy Jones Locker" which is a place where the trees on the pond bend over to make a cave. Richard freaked out because the boat started filling up with water and he didn't want to sink in such a scary place. It was only about five inches of water which happens after we've been in the boat for a long time. It must have a slow leak, or we get water in the boat from fishing stuff out of the pond and dripping stuff like nets, but it wasn't anywhere near sinking.

We made Valentine's for Mom and Sarah Grace and Ma and all the ladies at the beauty shop and the floor in our classroom is covered in shiny pink and red sequins and glittery sparkles. It must look like Tinker Bell's house with all the fairy dust everywhere.

We learned to do origami with dollar bills. When someone buys a dozen eggs, they get change in a dollar folded into a rooster. People love it. I made a bowtie out of a dollar but they made all sorts of animals and Will made hearts with a little pocket on it to hide Valentine messages for the ladies. We also made our special cookie recipe and put the cookies in cellophane bags with hearts on them.

Ma came in her new van and brought us a Chic-fil-a supper, a chocolate Valentine's Day cake that said "I love Y'all", strawberry cheesecake tarts, and Valentine cookies. She showed us her lift in the van for her Jazzy. That will make it easier for her to shop. Ma loves shopping. We should make her a crown that says "The Shopping Queen." with a period. She finds stuff we've never seen before.

I hope you had a nice chocolately Valentine's Day.
