After they checked out the new lamb and her mother, Mom and Sarah went to Hancock Fabrics because patterns were on sale for 99 cents. Before they left, our neighbor came over and brought us a huge bucket of lilies. They smell so good. We had our windows open today and they smelled up the inside of the house and they even smelled up the outside when you walked past a window! When Mom and Sarah got home, Sarah checked on the goats and Widget was in labor. She tried to let Widget have her kids without helping, but Widget was having trouble, so Sarah had to help her like last time. The first kid was a boy and his tail looks like it has been dipped in ink. They gave Widget warm water with molasses in it because they thought she was done but a couple of hours later Widget started pushing again. She had another kid, but it was dead. Sarah said it probably was dead for a while because it had no nutrition. Then, she had another kid that lived. That was just like last time. Widget had three kids but the second one died. Ida Claire helped Widget lick up her new kids but Widget rejected them again so we have them in the house in a playpen. We're feeding them bottles every four hours. I'm on the first shift and that's why I'm still up. The boy kid is the maturist one. He takes his bottle and goes to sleep but the girl just yells a lot. She has a little light brown head with a white body. I love them. The lamb is very quiet just like a little Indian boy papoose. I haven't heard a peep out of him all day. Uncle Bob loves him too. He keeps a careful watch over the lamb and his momma. Me, George, and Richard with the little buck:
