On Sunday we had our birthdays at Fuddruckers. When we arrived it was very loud. One reason was that a family at the table next to us had very bad manners. One little boy just kept saying, "boop, boop, boop," over and over and over again. Two of the children were chasing each other around the table, one was standing there dancing, and the baby was standing up in the high chair fussing. I was all frustrated just watching because I couldn't see the football game on the screen behind them. It was the Patriots game.

Finally they decided to leave but the dad stood up and kept eating over his plate while he was standing there. You should never put food in your mouth after you stand up to leave. Just make up your mind whether you're going to eat or leave. I never saw the parents correct their children even one time. They were laughing!

Once that family left it quieted down some and we could eat and chat and look at the ball game. It got better.

After we ate, Mom put the birthday tablecloth on and we got hats and plates and napkins and cups and spoons. She cut us each a piece and put candles on the pieces for those of us with a birthday. That way five of us weren't blowing on one cake! Ma had the number candles seven and six for seventy-six, and the rest of us had long sparkler candles to give Mom enough time to get them all lit. It looked like fireworks with all the candles and sparklers!

The cake was dark devil's food chocolate inside with fluffy white topping. It was decorated with colorful balloons and streamers and confetti. We had it with chocolate ice cream with chunks of brownies in it and we also had coffee ice cream. We love chocolate and coffee flavors.

After we ate the cake and ice cream, we opened our presents. George and Richard and I got a huge castle set! It is so realistic looking. It is plastic but it looks like stone. It has two working drawbridges! You can build it any way you want. Right now we have a keep inside the castle with its own drawbridge. It has all sorts of hiding places and battlements and catapults. We also got Papo knight figures and horses with different kinds of weapons. It makes one big collosal kingdom!

George and I also got bows and arrows and I got the crossbow I wanted. Richard got blocks and Spencer got a PS2 game and a multitap and a tag game. Ma got sapphire earrings she wanted but they had to be ordered so she opened the aquamarine ones in the meantime.

The best part of all is that Mom and Sarah Grace made us Robin Hood and his merry men costumes! We have green hats with feathers and brown suede tunics with battlements cut out of the bottom. We have fencing swords and bows and arrows and a crossbow! Mom ordered green tights that aren't here yet. Dad doesn't want his merry men to get too merry so we'll wear them with boots or shoes but not ballet slippers or anything. We don't want to look girly.

Next time we should have our party at home so we can get right to playing. Mom likes to go out so she doesn't have to cook and make a party. Next time maybe we could cook on the grill and share the work with Dad and the older kids. It was hard to talk in Fuddruckers because it was too loud.

Ma gave George and I a five dollar bill each because we learned to wiggle our ears. She told us the last time we were with her that she would give us each five dollars if we learned to wiggle our ears. She's just like that.

I added to my last post the other day so you can click "previous" if you missed the part about our Nubian goat, Pink. Sometimes I'm thinking so hard about describing that I forget to write about the things I want to share with you.

For example, I've wanted to tell you that I'm learning how to draw hands and faces and feet. I keep forgetting because I'm so busy writing about other things. Hands and faces and feet aren't easy to draw. It takes a lot of practice.
